Why GenZ wants to be Youtubers and Gamers?

There is no doubt that there is a big generational gap between every generation. After all, that is why they are of different generations. Every generation has it's own beliefs and fears and that is what makes them different from other generations.

One of the biggest differences between baby boomers, millenials and GenZ is that baby boomers wanted government jobs, millenials became doctors and engineers and GenZ wants to be Youtubers and Gamers. And there is a very simple explanation to this:
You aspire to be what fits your beliefs and fears or in the GenZ lingo, you aspire to be what you think is 'cool'.

Baby boomers saw the toughest of times. They saw independence, globalisation and what not. So they aspired for stability and hence, the concept of ' Government job he to settle he'.
Millenials got that stable base but they saw their parent's tough times while growing up and hence, the pressure to not loose all that their parents had worked hard for forced them to become engineers and doctors.
GenZ on the other hand is a generation which has never seen a world without internet. They want everything now or else it will go out of trend. Everything needs to be a click away and the lesser decision making it requires, the better. Couch potato would be an underestimation for them. Better call them mindless content consuming zombies. And just so you don't start questioning my prejudices, this "They" includes me as well.
Now coming back to the topic before I turn into an old granny ranting about kids these days,as I said, people aspire to be what fits their beliefs and fears and kids these days want to be Youtubers and Gamers. Why? Because it's cool.

It's cool. It's not for the expensive cars you get to drive or for being recognised by people in public and definately not for money. It's just for being cool. Even though they think or tell you that it is for the above reasons, it's simply not. They just make up those reasons in their mind to justify their aspirations. But a more truer justification is:
They see those people on a daily basis and spend time with them probably more than they spend with their families. They get their beliefs and fears partly from the vloggers and gamers they follow. They grow up looking up to these public figures and quite simply aspire to be like them.
Had it been about money, we wouldn't get stories of Investment banker leaving job to follow their passion and the likes. Had it been about fame, they would've aspired to be movie stars or much better, The Prime minister. No matter what they tell you, it's just because this fits their beliefs and fears of simply, it's cool.
