China V. The rest of the World

I know 2020 has been China's year and by now, most of you are fed up of hearing this name but bear with me because I'm not going to talk about how China is a traitor or how India pulled a digital surgical strike on it. For that matter, India will be of least of my concerns right now. Let's keep our personal issues with China aside and try to look at it from a global perspective. Looks better? Nah, even worse. While there is no doubt that China is a virtual monopoly, it is not ashamed of this fact . If anything, it wears it's heart on it's sleeves and proudly does what monarchies are best at, conquering other lands for it's citizens while suppressing it's citizens at the same time. But this isn't the only reason why it's "China V. The rest of the World". While the list is never ending, we'll try to enlist our best picks only.

Let's start with 'One Belt One Road' initiative or it's pet name OBOR. While India refused the golden opportunity to develop infrastructure on it's land with Chinese sanctioned loans by Chinese workers under a Chinese company, many developing countries leaped at this opportunity. And now they are stuck in China's debt trap. The list includes our beloved neighbors Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan as well as other countries of Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Investment in developing countries to strengthen your relation is fine, even though the numbers are so impractical that it seems like these countries have sold/leased a part of their land to China. But still it is fine. But why third world countries of Africa like Kenya and Ethiopia? What could China possibly gain from them?

Well I'm glad you asked because this is our second most important reason. China, like every other country, is a part of United Nations where, on every topic, the voting system of 'One country One vote' is followed. And guess who else is a part of UN? These third world countries which China seemed to have bought by making irrationally huge investment in their ports, dams etc. And now it gets as many votes as it wants. The icing on top of cake is the cheap labor it gets from there. But why cheap labor? Isn't it the hub of cheap labor?

When it comes to China, the sky is the limit when it comes to exporting cheap mass produced products. So this issue get's the second runners up in our list. It isn't that big of a deal because only third world countries are involved in it, but isn't it colonialism to exploit natural and human resource of other countries for your own gains?
To sum this issue up, it exports way more to other countries than it imports from them, thus increasing their trade deficit. At the same time, it has a notorious reputation when it comes to devaluing it's own currency to make exports even more attractive. In simple words, it cheated in exams but his friend who was helping him got caught. This may have outraged his whole friends circle and so now America, Europe, Australia and other major countries are opposing it.

But still very few are able to raise a voice against him because he is that friend in his group who has the Cricket bat and so is ought to be "Not Out" even when he clearly is "Out".
