Why you should be worried by the US elections?

Before I vent out to you my feelings on why I am anxious about the US elections, I figured I should give a disclaimer that this has nothing to do with Trump calling India filthy. Although I am an optimistic person over all, I prefer not being delusional and accepting the bitter truth. Yes, we are "filthy" but that is a topic for some other day.
You might have seen our news channels not so extensively covering the US elections, but this year's elections are somewhat special and somewhat worrying. It's something you and I should be fearful of.

One of my favourite ways of describing U.S. is - 'when American sneezes, the whole world catches cold' and this is in no way exaggeration of it's powers. The world has evidenced it at times like the great depression and real estate bubble burst etc. The election results will not only imply who becomes the president of the biggest superpower but also what policies this superpower will have and how it will treat the rest of the world.

If Trump wins, it'll be a thought time for indian immigrants and thier families. It is not a secret that Trump hates immigrants and specially those who come in front of his agenda of America first. As an icing on the cake, he hates everyone who is not from the caucasian race which includes brown indians also. So there's double hate there. But it'll be an ultimate nightmare for indian exporters, specifically in service sector who joined their company only because their company had an attractive H-1B visa policy and their ultimate aim was to live the American dream. Businesses who export majorly to America will also have to face the heat as Trump works for a more independent America. On global levels, he'll keep accusing india of having an unfair advance in Paris pact and blaming us for withdrawing from it.
Now that the rest has been taken care of, let's address the elephant in the room. Trump has alredy served notice to WHO that US will withdraw itself from WHO from next year and so, if Trump wins, majority of WHO's fundings, which comes from US will stop coming as WHO won't be able to work towards a healthy life, specially in third world countries. The same WHO which eradicated polio from earth won't get funds to fight disease and that too in the midst of a pandemic.

If Biden wins, well... let's just say things aren't as clear as they are with Trump. We don't know if he'll be as friendly to India as the Obama era or he'll be just as hostile as the current administration. Atleast, their vice president will be kamala Harris, who, hopefully because of her indian roots, will work with a better plan which is beneficial to both India and US. But the uncertainty regarding Biden's policies make him just as much dangerous for the Indian subcontinent, if not more.
